I am happy to share that our work WindTunnel was accepted to appear at VLDB 2022! WindTunnel is a system that translates a trained ML pipeline into a pipeline of DNN modules and jointly optimizes the DNN modules using backpropagation. This work is led by my student Gyeong-In Yu, and it is joint work […]
We made Fluffy publicly available at https://github.com/snuspl/fluffy. Fluffy is a multi-transaction differential fuzzer for finding consensus bugs in Ethereum. Fluffy mutates and executes multi-transaction test cases to find consensus bugs which cannot be found using existing fuzzers for Ethereum. Fluffy found two new consensus bugs, the shallow copy bug (CVE-2020-26241) and the tranfer-after-destruct bug, […]
Our Apache Nemo work has been accepted to appear in ACM TOCS! Congrats to Wonook, Youngseok, Jeongyoon, Jangho, Joo Yeon, Sanha, Gyewon, Taegeon, Haeyoon, and Byung-Gon!
Byung-Gon’s co-leading the SNU-Naver Hyperscale AI center! The center focuses on the research of big AI models.
Wonook’s talk, “Flexible Optimizations and Efficient Execution of Data Processing on Apache Nemo” has been accepted for ApacheCon Asia 2021. Congrats!
CloneCloud, Byung-Gon’s work published in EuroSys 2011, received the EuroSys 2021 Test of Time Award! “The EuroSys Test-of-Time award is awarded annually to a paper published at the EuroSys conference at least 10 years prior that has had a lasting and current impact.” This is super-exciting!
Our work “Refurbish Your Training Data: Reusing Partially Augmented Samples for Faster Deep Neural Network Training” has been accepted to appear in ATC 2021. Congrats to Gyewon, Irene, Hyeonmin, Kyunggeun, Hwarim, Ahnjae, and Byung-Gon!
