Signal Processing Laboratory (SPL) was founded in 1983, and has been advised by Sang-Uk Lee, Professor in School of Electrical Engineering, Seoul National University. SPL is at the forefront of research in image processing and computer vision, and has published more than 122 international journal papers, 241 international conference papers, and 123 domestic journal papers.

Current research topics include 3D data acquisition and processing, image registration and segmentation, medical image analysis, image coding, and video transmission over networks. Our research interests lie in the areas of image processing and computer vision.

Laboratory of SPL is located within Institute of New Media and Communications (INMC) in Seoul National University.
